5/9/2023 0 Comments Two point hospital steam forum![]() I mean I was laughing out loud when the message for "光頭症" was announced. Ive been playing this all evening, and so far the Chinese localisation seems to be fantastic. Just a heads up for anyone thats interested, Two Point hospital is free for trial over this weekend, and is 33% off at the moment (dont know how long that offer has been on for, but seems like the price is right to me). Maybe even getting familiar in English then switching could be a good strategy too. It's definitely at a relatively high level, especially if you want to appreciate all the jokes but if you don't mind missing some stuff or checking up the English in the transcript files the first time you encounter something, I think it could be a playable on intermediate/higher intermediate without getting too annoyed with things. Part of the stuff that Two Point sent me includes all the text (even menus) so it makes things much more approachable. are presented to you in writing, so that's pretty good to work through (especially with transcripts and English translations). I guess you could also say that the game is text driven in a way since all your missions etc. There is also a nice little radio station with presenters and adverts, GTA style. 3 hours and 40 minutes just of Chinese audio (I extracted it from the game files for easy studying) which plays pretty consistently and some of it pretty repetitively ("Can a doctor please go to the GP's office"). Like I said, I've switched back to English but there definitely is a huge amount of Chinese content. I figure I'd play again in Chinese again afterwards. It's full of pretty dry but clever humour (for example, the disease where people have lightbulbs instead of heads is called "light headed-ness" and is cured in the "De-lux clinic") and I've actually switched back to English so that I can fully appreciate it. It's pretty relaxed and lighthearted but challenging enough to be fun and interesting. If you ever played Theme Hospital then it's definitely for you. You'll be dealing with illnesses such as Freddie Mercury Sickness rather than the common cold:ĭespite the relatively low system requirements, my laptop still isn't quite up to running it, but a fellow forum member, has played the game and was kind enough to leave the following review:īrilliant. A game centred around illness could get a little depressing, so the developers have created their own humorous diseases and cures. It takes a pretty cynical view on private healthcare, and the main aim of the game is to make money rather than cure patients. This game is a spiritual successor to the popular mid-90s sim Theme Hospital. Your job is to build and maintain hospitals in a variety of challenging environments.
